| Shopping is Duty Free Shopping is very low key on St Croix. We have a charming "Old Town" of very unique, localized shops and stores. You should try to fit in a day of leisurely exploring the historic old downtown tourist district, located only minutes from Hibiscus Beach Resort Shopping tip 1: Get yourself or a loved one, a Crucian Bracelet or Crucian Hook Shopping tip 2 : When you return home you'll be glad to have some Flavored Cruzan Rum to share with your friends. You may take back up to 6 bottles of liquor duty free, as long as one is Cruzan Rum or a Virgin Islands product. There is no extra baggage fee for this. Stores open around 9 or 10 am and most are not open on Sundays, except perhaps if it's a cruise ship day.
